Competency Auditing and Training
Operations in hazardous zones incur an increased level of associated risk. Due to this increased risk it is imperative that you have a competent workforce following appropriate procedures. This includes operational leadership that makes critical decisions and directs the work of others. The industry definition of competent is having the ability to consistently and repeatedly conduct the job scope requirements to the standard required by the employer, regulations and industry recommended practices. There is a noticeable increased push from regulatory authorities to contractors and operators to be able to “demonstrate” the workforce is competent, this is known as “assurance”. The evaluation can be fed back through to the client in a number of ways that best suits the nature of the audit. One of the outcomes from the audit can be increased levels of training. Training OCS understands that with limited time and resources it can be difficult to determine the most critical use of such in order to have the greatest impact. Any knowledge, skills and/or compete
